"Give Thanks" Centerpiece

Every Thanksgiving table needs a pretty centerpiece, so let's make one using Deflecto Craft products!

I started with a mini straw bale and a fall floral pick that I found at Hobby Lobby. I then split the pick apart into individual pieces so that I could arrange them the way I wanted.

I placed a Deflecto Flexible Sign Dangler under the metal pieces that hold the straw bale together. These sign danglers are amazing -- they are made of thin flexible metal so that you can bend them any way you want! They also have adhesive tabs on them, making it easy to attach to a sign.

I then made a sign using Deflecto Sign Tags. I cut the sign tag in half and applied the letters and leaves using glue dots (this style of letter is actually an iron-on, but I have had great success on non-fabric surfaces using glue dots or hot glue). Finally, I attached the sign to the sign dangler. I covered the sign dangler with a leaf from the floral pick.

What a beautiful addition to my holiday table! And since these are so easy to make and budget-friendly, I may just make a few extras so my guests can take one home for themselves!

Thanks for visiting and Happy Fall!

"Time Warp" Halloween Wall Hanging

Hey, y'all! It's Lorrie here, and I am getting ready for Halloween with a little dance number!

Can you guess what my favorite Halloween movie is?

If you recognize my project as the lyrics to "The Time Warp," then you know I love "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"!

I decided to take the Deflecto Sign Tags and make a wall hanging featuring everyone's favorite Halloween dance.

The sign tags (which are awesome and they come with their own wet erase marker) start out looking like this:

But with a little bit of purple and green glitter tape and some Halloween embellishments, they turn into this!

I punched holes in the sign tags using a Crop A Dile punch and then strung the signs together with some black glitter ribbon. Now, this project can by hung on a wall or even on your door... stand back and let the dancing begin!

This project is a really easy and is great for kids to make too. You can always use lyrics from Halloween songs like "Monster Mash" or quotes from other Halloween movies too!

Thanks for checking out my project! You can find lots more inspiration over on our Pinterest and Facebook pages!

Mixed Media On-the-Go

It's time to get organized with Stackable Caddy Organizer from Deflecto. With so many new products on the market, it is almost impossible to keep them all organized. I was storing all my different kinds of ink in one big storage tub that I had purchased. I thought I had solved my organization problems..... until the lid was popped open and this is what I saw.

This is my BEFORE:

How horrible is it to find something in this heap of a mess on top of things spilling?

and this is my AFTER!!

Hip hip hooray! What a huge difference right?!!

I finally can store all my sponge daubers in one nice container, no more messy fuss!

I like to think of this as my "mixed media on-the-go" caddy!

I hope everyone enjoyed my post and we would love for you to follow us on:

Spooky Halloween Mini Album

Boo! Halloween is upon us, and it is one of my favorite holidays. Since I have the cutest granddaughter ever these days, I need something just as cute to hold her Halloween photos. Since she likes to look at the mini albums, I make with her photos I need something very durable to create my albums with.

The Deflecto Sign Tags w/Wet Erase Marker are perfect for making pages in a mini album! The can be punched with all the binding machines on the market, decorated any way you like, and they hold up to a significant amount of wear. I made a template for my page size and cut the sign tags using a craft knife and a metal ruler.

The Sign Tags can also be cut with the large steel rule type dies. I wanted this amazing frame on the cover, but since it sticks out there is no way it would survive made from paper. The Sign Tags are not only durable; they are flexible as well. Pretty much toddler proof!

I decorated the inner pages with patterned paper and a variety of embellishments. Then I used my Cinch Machine to punch all the pages and assemble the album.

Fun Signage For A School Halloween Party

Hello everyone!! Kymona here with another awesome project for you!! I'm going to show you how I created a super cute signage for my daughter's school Halloween Party.

This one is super duper easy and can be used again and again for other parties! To top it off, it's pink which is perfect for Breast Cancer month. Yes, super functional to acknowledge both activities.

Take a look:

I used Deflecto's 8 ½" x 11" Pink Border Craft Frame to create this super cute signage for my daughter's class.

Here's how I created this:

1. I trimmed a piece of Halloween pattern paper to 8.5 by 11.

2. Then I slipped it into the frame to make sure it was centered.

3. Then I added the silver glitter gumdrops along the edge of the frame for a nice finishing touch.

I told you, nice and easy!! My daughter's teacher can swap out the paper for different occasions.

What do you think? Would you give this a try? Please let me know below. If you have any questions, please leave them below as well.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you were inspired here today.

Boo Door Hanger and Autumn Wreath

Hello, Sue here and my plan was to make the “Boo Door Hanger” and the “Autumn Wreath” as two separate projects with two separate blog posts. But… while I was working on decorating my front porch for Fall, I tried them together and decided I liked it.
The “Boo Door Hanger” is a separate piece that I can remove after Halloween.

I assembled the wreath using a grapevine wreath, a couple of fall silk floral bouquets, ribbon and my hot melt glue gun. After cutting the stems apart from the bouquet, I played around with the arrangement of the flowers and glued them in place.

A simple bow glued into place finished off the Autumn Wreath. The entire project took less than a half hour.

The Boo Door Hanger was a little more involved…
I used Deflecto's Sign Tags w/Wet Erase Marker from Deflecto Craft Solutions and Halloween paper and stickers from Paper House Productions.

I applied the Halloween paper onto thin chipboard and cut out three die-cut frames. I cut the sign tags just slightly bigger than the opening of the frame and adhered it to the back.

I drew in my letters using the white dry erase pen. Make a mistake? Just wipe the sign tag with a damp paper towel and start over.

I punched two holes in the top and bottom of the first two frames and the top only of the last frame. I added a black eyelet to each hole and connected the frames with small garment pins. I embellished each frame with 3D Halloween Stickers.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Breast Cancer - Desktop Calendar

Hi, crafters! Simply Monica here with my 1st official Deflecto Crafts project. This project goes out to all the amazing women who have and are having to fight breast cancer. An excellent way to remember and to never forget is by taking the Deflecto 8 ½" x 11" Pink Border Craft Frame and turn it into a desktop easel calendar.
,

I used took a mini calendar and adhered it to a piece of black cardstock so that the calendar page was a bit more sturdy. Then I found some round magnets and added a sticker to the top magnet that says "Faith" which is perfect! What is nice is that the magnet slides on the acrylic frame easily. No need to pick the magnet up to move it to the next date, simply slide it.

Whenever you're ready to change the months out, simply pull the back flap down and slide in the next month. A perfect Christmas gift or a special gift for that special woman!

I hope everyone enjoyed my post and we would love for you to follow us on:

Easy DIY Halloween Banner

Hello, everyone!! Kymona here again to show you how to create a Halloween banner using Deflecto's Sign Tags and Marker set!!

I have to admit I'm not a fan of Halloween, but my daughter loves it. She loves dressing up and decorating so I find myself doing all sorts of things for Halloween for her sake. So this year, we are creating decoration for her class as a surprise for there teacher and classmate.

Check out this banner we created together:

Oh man, this looks so delicious to me!! It turned out so pretty! Maybe I'm starting to love this day after all, LOL!!

Here is how we created this banner:

1. My daughter used a banner die and the big shot to die cut 5 large banners out of the Halloween pattern paper.

2. Then I used the big shot and a small banner die to die cut 5 banners out of the Deflecto's Sign Tags. They are thicker then card-stock so I had to run it though the die cutting machine a couple of times.

The ones that didn't cut all the way through, I used scissors to cut them out.

3. Then I used the Marker to write each letter on each of the banners.

4. Once the marker dried, I adhered foam tape to the back and adhered it to the pattern paper.

5. After that, I added silver glitter gumdrops at the top of the smaller banners.

6. To finish it off, my daughter took her time and pulled the ribbon through the holes from front to back.

I love Mother - Daughter projects!! This one turned out great!

Would you give this technique a try? Please let me know what you think below. If you have any questions, please leave them below as well.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you were inspired here today.

Halloween Cupcake Toppers with Deflecto!

Fall is here, and parties are just around the corner! Cupcakes are fun for parties or for giving as we celebrate the changing of the seasons, scarecrows and ghosties!

I used Deflecto Sign Tags with wet erase markers to create these fun cupcake toppers. There is a white chalk marker in the package to draw the details on the toppers. The display is also a Deflecto product. It is one of my party favorites as it can be decorated however you would like it!

You will need:

Deflecto wet erase Sign Tags

Deflecto 3 Tier Dessert Stand

Scissors - heavy duty

pencil

Pattern (given below

white cardstock

Instructions:

1.Copy and paste the pattern given into a document and print out on cardstock. Cut out the pattern shapes.

2. Place a pattern shape face up on the rough side of a sign tag and trace around the shape using a pencil. Outline the pencil mark using the white chalk pen and draw in the details. Set aside and allow to dry thoroughly. The white ink will smear if touched before completely dry.

3. Repeat with the remaining shapes and sign tags. Cut out each shape by cutting along the outside white line. You can remove the chalk ink with a damp paper towel or wipe. **

I recommend wiping the ink from the pick before inserting into a cupcake.

4. Bake some cupcakes and poke a topper into each one. The back of each topper is blank so they can be personalized with a name or sentiment. Boo, Yikes, Eek, Treat, Tricks, are a few examples.
