Organizing Is Also Part Of My Hobby

If I am not crafting I am organizing my craft supplies and believe me, I enjoy it as much.  Although organizing is an all year process, for some reason the beginning of the new year its always more motivating to do it.

I have taken lots of photos to share with you on how Deflecto products help me stay organized.

First, I like to display positive inspiration every so often. I need it as a constant reminder of the great things in the world. The Deflecto frame if perfect to interchange slides of positive quotes. So I keep it like this close to my desk.

On my desk I also keep the Deflecto Marker Organizer. It helps me keep my tools, markers and other useful items at arm's reach.

Next, also at my desk I use the Stackable Cube Organizer "X" Divider and Stackable Cube Organizer Open to help me store my markers. I can take out easily and put back in place. I will soon invest in more of these cubes to store my complete collection of markers with the cubes.

On the opposite side I also keep more cubes for my color pencils and more markers.

 

Next to my markers I also have the Deflecto Stackable Cube Organizer 2 Drawer. 

It fits perfectly on my desk holding many of my daily used items.

 

Another great item I use to organize my many metal dies is the Craft-Magnetic-Sheets. I love that they come 10 in a pack, plenty for our big collection of dies right?

I easily cut them to size and then organize my dies by brand and put in 

wood boxes as seen on the pic below.

Without a doubt the Stackable Caddy Organizer has been one of my all time favs. It can hold so much and best of all I can trasport it anywhere I want. All you have to do is attach the Deflecto Wheel Base and it moves freely. You can also add as many caddies as you wish.

And last but not least, I have the Craft Tilt Bin. It has amazing features, you can:

Organizing My Crafty Life With Deflecto Magnetic Sheets

Hello everyone! As you probably know I love to craft. I have been doing it for many years and for that reason I have accumulated so many metal thin dies. When I received my generous November DT package from Deflecto and saw these big magnetic sheets, I could not think of a better way to use them than to organize my dies in my craft room.

You can do so many things with these magnetic sheets. They can be: 

Painted or papered 

Cuts easily with scissors, craft knife, punches and a variety of cutting machines 

Magnetically attaches to metal surfaces 

They are 8" x 15" so they are big pieces and of course I chose to cut them down with my guillotine to fit my plastic sleeves for storage.

I also used my scissors to make some additional cuts.

They are perfect to hold your dies. The craft magnetic sheets come in a 

pack of 10 sheets and are very strong and durable.

I have started organizing them and still have quite a few to do but I'm loving the outcome.

Here is a peak of my craft room, as you can see I have a lot of work to do.

I will have to get plenty of these Craft Magnetic Sheet-10-Pack to finish my organization. I am sure they will make your crafty life much easier.

How to use Deflecto's Craft Magnetic Sheets

Hello, everyone!!  Kymona from Kreative Kymona here today to show you how to use Deflecto's Craft Magnetic Sheets.

What are Deflecto's Craft Magnetic Sheets?

Deflecto's Craft Magnetic Sheets are:

- White

- 8" x 15" in size

- Can be painted or papered

- They cut super easy with scissors, a craft knife,

punches and a variety of cutting machines.

-  They come in a pack of 3 or 10 sheets.

Here's How I Created This Tray:

I collected all the supplies that I needed to create this tray:

Deflecto Magnetic Sheets

Deflecto's VersaGrip Magnetic Sign Hold

Warm and Cozy Pattern Paper

Craft Fantastic Glass pieces

Tombow Tape Runner

Wilson Cookie Sheet

To start, measure the cookie sheet so that the pattern paper can be cut to that size.

Cut the pattern paper and the magnetic sheet to 12 x 7.

Add adhesive to the back of the pattern paper using  Tombow Permanent Adhesive Plus.  Once that is done, adhere the paper onto the magnetic sheet.

Once that is done, adhere the paper onto the magnetic sheet.

Place the large mat inside the tray.

Once that is done, create sentiment magnetics and place them on the tray.

For the magnetic notepad holder, use a Deflecto VersaGrip Magnetic Sign Holder. Take your time and pull the long metal pieces out and clip the clip to the magnetic base.

Glass magnets can be created using the magnetic craft sheets.

Fall Recipe Holder

I start thinking about fall baking as soon as the weather starts turning cool.

And… I’m always on the look-out for a good recipe.

To keep the recipe from getting lost once all the ingredients are out, I need a good recipe holder.

Here’s a easy project that I made using the Deflecto VersaGrip Magnetic Sign Holder.

(The recipe card holder would also make a cute name holder as well.)

For Fun…I added the “life is short…” saying into a 3″ x 4″ Mini Slanted Sign Holder.

(Both the recipe card and the saying is from the Authentique Bountiful Collection.)

To make my Recipe Holder…

I used a compressed sponge to apply ink directly onto the base and the white band of the

VersaGrip Magnetic Sign Holder. (StazOn Inkpads is a fast-drying permanent ink.)

I wrapped the wire center around a round paintbrush to add a little whimsy.

The VersaGrip Magnetic Sign Holder is magnetic so it also sticks onto your refrigerator.

Did you notice the magnet picture frame on the top right corner?

It was made by covering a Deflecto Magnetic Craft Sheet with scrapbook paper and cutting the frame shape out using a frame die cut.

Die Cut Organization

Hello, crafty friends! Martha Lucia here to share with you the easiest and practical way to organize all your die cuts and see exactly what you have and keep them all in one place after each use. It's a simple and practical solution, take a look:

On this project, I used three different Deflecto products, the Pear Clip to tie all the Flexible Pouches (7-3/8"x6") that I used to storage and carry my different die cuts. To keep all the die cuts in place, I used Magnetic Craft Sheets, and the best part is that I can used both sides of the pouch and the magnets.

For one side, I decorated the border of pouch with different colors of washi tape to identify the type of die cut that is inside. And for the back side of the washi tape I added a piece of card stock with the category of the die cuts. I have single die cuts, borders, tags, elements, molds, animals, etc., and all are from different brands or manufactures.

I definitely love the transparency of all Deflecto organization products, since it is very easy to know what we have and see through it as well as keeping control of things and making sure everything is organized.

Another advantage that I found on these Flexible Pouches is that the closing border lets you secure the magnet sheet and keep it inside of the pocket without worrying that the content will slip out of the pouch. In other words, it is secure for the small or large pieces if you are running and forgot to secure the die cut over the magnetic sheet.

These Flexible Pouch came in two sizes, for this organization project I used large size (7-3/8"x6"), but then I will show a creative project with the Flexible Pouch 3"x5" that I am sure you will love! Super easy, practical and useful! What do you think?

Creative Christmas Photo Holders

Hello! Nadine here today sharing how I created these Christmas Character Photo Holders using Deflecto's VersaGrip™ Magnetic Sign Holder. These would be cute to put on the mantel each year with your kid's school photos or different photos of family members.

Step 1 - Print out some headless Christmas characters, or if you are good with photoshop, you can erase the head off of them. The characters should be about 5½" from neck to feet when printed to cover the sign holders. Fussy cut them out.

Step 2 - This is optional but to enhance some of the details of the images I used a VersaMarker and some Embossing Powder on different areas over the images.

Step 3 - Use a liquid adhesive like Beacons 3-in-1 to adhere the characters to the sign holders.

Step 4 - Cut a strip of Deflecto's Magnetic Craft Sheet to stand the characters on. Since the sign holders are magnetic, the magnetic craft sheet will make it, so they do not fall over easily.

Step 5 - Clip your photos to the VersaGrips add some white tissue paper or something that looks like snow around the bottom of the sign holders to hide the magnetic craft sheet.

Display for everyone to see!
