Fall is officially here! This is the time of year that we start thinking about the holidays along with parties, decorating and entertaining. I used Deflecto products for the projects shown below. Read on, and I will tell you how!

For the 3 tier dessert stand; you will need:

Deflecto: 3-Tier Dessert Stand #20201CR; Versa-grip Double-Clip Sign Holder #20008CR
Cardstock: green, orange, gold, yellow
Die-cut Machine & maple leaf die
Inkpads: green, orange, gold, yellow
Wedge Sponges
Adhesives

Instructions:

1. Follow the instructions in the package to assemble the 3-Tier Dessert Stand.
2. Cut 3/8" x 12" strips of green cardstock.
3. Refer to the photos given below. Cut out the leaves in the given size and colors shown.
4. Chalk the edges of the leaves using the inks and sponges.
5. Refer to the row at the bottom of the page and adhere the leaves to the strips of green paper.
6. Adhere to the sides of the dessert stand as shown.
7. Use the double clip sign holder to attach the larger maple leaves to the top of the stand.

For the Witchy-Pooh Character you will need:

Deflecto: Mini Sign Holders: 3" x 4" Sign Holder, one; 1-1/2" x 2", one; Flexible Sign Danglers; 4
Cardstock: Purple, Green, Black, Orange
Die-cut Machine
Dies: circles, pinked edge circle, teardrop, oval
Adhesives
Permanent Black Marker; fine point
Scissors
Paper Trimmer

Instructions:

1. Arms: Refer to the photo below. Cut the paper shapes shown and assemble them as shown on the right. Slide between the panels of the sign holder behind the paper with each side of "arms" extending evenly.

2. Legs: Cut the green paper. Adhere to the sign danglers. Fold the danglers accordion style as shown. The adhesive portions should be facing up. Remove the release paper before adhering to the bottom of the sign holder. Remove the release paper on the opposite end and adhere the shoes.

3. For the hat: Fold the 3" black circle in two. Form the 2-1/2" into a cone and adhere to the top of the 3" brim. Hair: Fold down the top edge of the orange oval (for the bangs). Cut a fringe into the oval for the effect of hair. Cut from each side. Adhere the head to the hair.

4. Finish: Everything will be adhered to the outside of the sign holder except for the 3" x 4" rectangle (body) that goes between the sign holder panels. Use the photo given for a visual guide.

Look below for some more ideas using the mini sign holders and sign danglers. You can do a lot with basic shapes: squares, circles, rectangles, teardrops, etc. The turkey tail feathers are die-cut maple leaves.

Drink Me Bat Juice Potion

Hi everyone! It's Halloween time and who doesn't love some Bat Juice?? I love adding new things to my Halloween decor every year and this year it is a fun Drink Me sign and a Bat Juice Potion Jar to go with it. For these projects, have use the Flexible Sign Danglers and the Mini Slanted Sign Holder.

The Mini Slanted Sign Holder is 3x4 and the perfect size to add to any table, buffet, or craft project! I love them for adding to my craft displays. It is super easy to decorate inside and outside the frame. Here I have added some 3D decorations to the front of the frame using 2 sided tape and foam dots. I have also used a Flexible Sign Dangler to add my bat over the sign. Fun!

I also used a Flexible Sign Dangler to attach another flying bat to my potion bottle. These little sign danglers are so easy to use in so many ways!

Halloween Place Setting

Hello! Nadine here today sharing a quick and easy napkin ring my daughter and I created using Deflecto's Flexible Sign Danglers. All we did was bend them around so they were in oval shape and then hot glued on some googly eyes around the sign dangler.

The Flexible Sign Danglers are thin metal pieces that can be bent, twisted, and placed wherever needed. At each end has an adhesive tab to stick to any surface. For my napkin rings, I adhered the two tabs together.

Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!

Halloween Table Ideas

Hi Everyone! I'm excited to be here not the Deflecto blog with some great party decorating ideas that are super easy. Deflecto items are the perfect finishing touch for a unique Halloween party! My name is Alexandra from Hedgehog Hollow, I'm normally a paper crafter, but I love to decorate cakes and host parties for my daughter's friends, so I had great fun creating these ideas for you!

The first idea is for a cupcake and candy bar at your party, let's take a look...

I love this so much that I actually left it up after the photos with a permanent candy bar for the season! I will adapt it to fall/Thanksgiving when into the holidays and winter themed, maybe even a cocoa bar! Stay tuned on the Hollow blog on how I change it up.

Then I thought I would show you some fun place setting ideas for a Halloween table using all the same excellent Deflecto products, Let's look at the overall effect...

First of all, I want to show you how useful these Deflecto VersaGrip Double Clip Sign Holders are and how they can be used on the Deflecto 3 Tier Dessert Stand.

These have ball joints on either end so you really can have them at any angle, I have found all sorts of uses for labeling sound the house for these, the best is in the girl's closets. However, back to the table, the mini slanted sign holders are great either way up, first of all, a more child-friendly setting...

This is a more adult and classic themed setting...

Now I want to show you these Flexible Sign Danglers, both have adhesive at either end, you could add balloons or other embellishments, but here I put the sign on one end and then bent it under the cupcake for this layer...

Finally, the cake stands as a whole in all its glory, the best part is the little holes around the outside to add cake pops or lollipops too! It's so versatile, plus you could decorate it for your occasion, perhaps a snowy scene, plus the levels can be closer together or further apart!

Thanks so much for joining me today, I can't wait to share some more ideas with you very soon!

Happy Crafting!
Alexandra

Give A Little Love This Valentine's Day!

Hello, Marilyn here today! Deflecto clear acrylic craft frames are a blank canvas. They are extremely versatile to be decorated and embellished and used as decor and/or signage for special events. With Valentine's Day around the corner; I made this one into a wet-erase sign that can be used over and over with whatever you would like to write on it!

Materials:

jewelry findings: round rhinestone frame with jump ring; 1/4" silver jump ring
trim: faux rhinestone trim with self adhesive back
paper punch: 1" round
dimensional medium: (Mod Podge Dimensional Magic)
cardstock: pink, black, vintage white with black writing
adhesives
paper trimmer
scissors
ink to chalk the paper edges
Instructions:

1. The frame will lay at an angle with the "bottom" as the top and the "top" as the bottom. Cut the paper and adhere the layers as shown. All of the paper will be on the inside of the frame, between the front and back panels.

2. Remove the release paper from the banner hanger and attach to the top of the frame as shown.

3. Apply one drop of the dimensional medium to the inside of the jeweled frame. Press the paper circle into the frame and hold down until it is flat. Let dry in place. Apply more dimensional medium to the inner circle and allow to dry flat.

4. Attach the jeweled frame charm to the large jump ring and then attach the jump ring to the banner hanger as shown.

5. Marker: Bend the sign dangler around the marker. Remove the pen and make sure the ends will fit between the panels of the frame. Remove the release paper from the dangler ends and adhere to the inside panels of the frame. Embellish: Cut a single strand of faux rhinestone trim and adhere it around the sign dangler as shown. Re-insert the marker into the pen holder that you just made.

6. Write on the outside of the frame with the wet erase marker. The writing can be removed with a baby wipe or with a wet paper towel.

7. Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner; I wanted this one to be fitting with the holiday. Use your imagination and embellish the frame any way you like, to fit with your decor at home or office.

Enjoy!

Make sure to take time to enjoy the small blessings along the way, and
Live Life with a Flourish!

The Perfect Chore Calendar

Happy New Year! Nadine here sharing a chore calendar I created to help organize my daughter's chores. I used the 12 x 12 Clear Craft Frame to get my project started. I used a patterned 12 x 12 scrapbook paper and then cut a 10 x 10 piece from a piece of white cardstock. Drew a calendar grid on the white piece and adhered it to the patterned paper and slid it into the 12 x 12 frame.

Then I used a Flexible Sign Holder, removed the backing from one of the adhesive sides of the Flexible Sign Holder and slid it into one of the sides of the frame. This worked great to hold the Wet Erase Markers which I used to write on the outside of the frame.

The best part of these markers is all you have to do is use a wet wipe or a wet paper towel to white the frame off and start over for a new month.

For a little extra incentive to get the chores done, I attached some money onto the frame with a VersaGrip™ Double-Clip Sign Holder.

Thank you for visiting and happy crafting!

Interlocking Stacking Tower Organizers Make Great Gifts!

Hello everyone, Marilyn here today! JOY TO THE WORLD! Christmas is just around the corner, and it is time to start thinking about the gifts we want to give and how we want to decorate. I think everyone loves snowmen and Joy letters make gift giving fast and easy! Everyone loves a message of JOY, and you can bring others joy with the quick and easy design I am showing here today.

Materials:

1-1/2" embroidered letters: J O Y
rick rack: 1/2" red
ribbon: 5/8" black & silver; 12"
candle light: Snowman
adhesives
scissors
candy or gift to place in the container
Instructions:

1. Remove release paper from the back of each letter and adhere to the canister as shown; one letter to each compartment.

2. Adhere a piece of ric-rac to the top of each compartment; not interfering with the lock. Line up the seams in the back.

3. Bend the sign dangler accordion fashion or as you would a fan. Remove the release paper from each end. Adhere one end to the top of the lid. Adhere the candle light snowman to the opposite end. This may take some extra adhesive to hold the light in place.

4. Fill the canister with candies or other surprises for the recipient. Finish with a bow under the chin!

Enjoy the coming holidays! A gift from the heart is always a pleasure for the giver and the receiver.

Merry Christmas and may you have a very happy New Year!
