Monogrammed Pencil Cup & Calendar

\
Personalize a Pencil Cup w/photo frames to pretty up your workspace! I layered some pretty papers with a paper doily and added some embroidered initials. Close to your heart pictures will make it even more special. Check out the built-in photo frames on the inside!

I cut pieces from the memory papers to carry the Spring theme. Cut paper to fit the outside of the pencil caddy. Adhere. Trim a paper doily and an image from the memory paper. Chalk the edges using an ink pad and sponge. The embroidered letters were white, and I sponged them with permanent ink to add the color I wanted.

I put some of my pretty business cards in the frames so that I would have some close at hand.

This is a quick and easy project and brings a pop of Spring into your space. Kids love the possibilities for decorating their personal pencil caddy too! I will be posting a separate blog with instructions for the calendar!

Take time to enjoy the small blessings along the way and,
Live Life with a Flourish!

Pink Pencil Cup for brushes!

Hello, crafty friends! Martha Lucia here to share with you a Deflecto Pink Pencil Cup that I decorated using black vinyl and a butterflies thin lits or die cut.

I am not a pencil person because I forgot my pencils every where, so I preferred to use my cup to keep and store the brushes that I use on my paper creations. I have two different types of brushes and the cup comes with two different sides so it is perfect for my purpose.

The first thing that I made was cut several butterflies using Black Vinyl. I prefer to cut this with my big shot and not use punches because sometimes is hard to cut the vinyl with these and you lose a lot of time. The butterflies that I cut are great because they had designs inside and with the big shot these are enhanced. After I cut the butterflies, I started to paste one by one over the cup, creating a special side pattern. I wanted all the butterflies concentrated over the center of the cup to have a great design when I open it.

When you turn the cup around, you can see that the inside comes with two spaces or frames that you can use for photos or messages. Of course, I used it for this purpose and decorated the borders with vinyl butterflies too.

The process was very simple and quick. And the best part is that I can change my design whenever I want. The material of the Deflecto Pink Pencil Cup is easy to clean and durable. And I can also open and close my cup whenever I want!

I hope my project inspired you to personalize your Pink Pencil Cup too and be happy every single day!

 See you soon!

Spring Blooms Pencil Cup

Hi, everybody! Lorrie here with a new spring project for Deflecto Crafts. Is it a nice spring day outside, but you are stuck inside at a desk? Just bring the spring to your office cubicle with this Spring Blooms Pencil Cup!

I started with the Deflecto Pencil Cup with Photo Frames. This little cup not only organizes your pens and pencils, but serves as a way to display your favorite photos.

I gave it some spring flair with patterned washi tape along the top and bottom edges all the way around the cup. How adorable are those little chicks?

I then added some acetate flowers and accented them with buttons from Buttons Galore, using glue dots.

Finally, using a quote card and patterned paper from Fancy Pants Designs along with more flowers and buttons, I decorated the frames on the inside of the cup -- a great place for to show off those pictures of the kids in their new Easter clothes!

This project comes together very quickly and is even easy enough to be a good boredom buster craft project for the kids. So grab a pencil cup and get crafting!

Craft Room Redo with Deflecto

Hello, friends! Larissa here with you today and I am finally ready to show you my room redo. I didn't think I would ever finish and honestly, I don't think I am yet. Everything from my room is being stored in my living room since we use our den more. And I have been going through things trying to weed out. I am finding stuff I forgot to save room for. We are currently working on my supply room so hopefully I will find more room in there. Fingers crossed anyway.
Here is my video showing you my room. As I say in the video 98% of my room storage is Deflecto. I will have a list at the bottom of my post.

Thank you for watching and have a great day.

Quick and Easy Gift Idea

Need a quick and easy gift for Mom or that new Grad in your life?
What about that end of the year Teacher gift?

This pretty pink pencil cup with photo frames is cute all by itself.

But add some decorative washi tape, a couple small pieces of decorative paper and a few random stickers and you have a special gift ready to give.

Better yet... add a couple pictures of you and your loved one together for an extra special gift.

If pink's not your style?

Here's one I made last year using the Black Deflecto Photo Frame Pencil Cup.

Shabby Chic Pencil Holder

I am a sucker for office and storage supplies. I get positively giddy when I go into an office supply store. But sometimes, the supplies are just a little plain for my tastes. So I like to take those supplies and turn them into something that I can take pride in and place on a desk. Today's project is just that -- I took a pencil holder and turned it into a pretty shabby chic piece!

I started with Deflecto's pink pencil cup with photo frames. Now just this holder by itself is adorable because, hey, it's pink!

But I wanted to fancy it up a bit, so I decorated the outside of the cup using beautiful organza rose ribbon from Maya Road.

I then went to work on the inside of the pencil holder, attaching some vintage-print ribbon, a vintage button, and an iron-on letter from JOY embroidered letters (I just used a hot glue gun to attach the letter rather than iron it on). I wanted a vintage feel for the photos in the frames too so I used paper from 7Gypsies and Salvage Stickers: Lost and Found from Tim Holtz. As Tim calls them, "found relatives"!

This would make an awesome gift for mom or grandmother for Mother's Day. But shhh... don't tell my mom!
