Flower Cupcake Topper

Celebrate the everyday moments with these cute Doodle Flower Cupcake Toppers
from Design Team Member Beth Watson.

Festive for a crafty birthday, a Summer picnic, or even a Tuesday afternoon!

Materials Needed:
  • Heavyweight Cardstock
  • Markers or Colored Pencils
  • Scissors
  • Flat Wooden Picks
  • Adhesive
  • 1/8" Assorted Green Ribbon
  • Sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Doodle your flower design onto heavyweight cardstock.
  2. Color in your design with markers or colored pencils.
  3. Cut around the image with scissors.
  4. Adhere the design onto the end of the wooden pick.
  5. For some added texture (and fun), measure and cut six inch lengths of assorted green ribbons.
  6. Tie the ribbons in a knot around the wooden pick and trim ends. The ribbon mimics leaves and makes the toppers extra fancy!
  7. Once the Doodle Flower Cupcake Toppers are complete, it’s time to decorate the cupcakes and celebrate!

You can download a free printable copy of Beth's doodles on her website here.

Beth says..."Organizing is a Breeze with the Deflecto Rotating Carousel Organizer.  It fits perfectly on the top shelf of my baking cabinet with plenty of room for additional supplies. The fun secret about the Deflecto Rotating Carousel Organizer is that the base is a Lazy Susan! So, I can spin it around and have access to everything on the top shelf."

Anita's Macaroons

Design Team Member Anita Scroggins has been obsessed lately with making macaroons.
She recently shared her tips and struggles with us in her latest blog post.

Macaroon Ingredients:
  • Egg whites
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Almond Flour
  • Flavoring
  • Food Coloring

Featured Storage: Deflecto Small 3 Drawer Organizer

Anita uses the Deflecto Small 3 Drawer Organizer that has three divided drawers to keep her baking supplies neat and tidy.  The three drawer organizer is transparent which makes finding the right icing tip easy to find.

Grab a cup of tea and head on over to Anita's Blog for the full macaroon process.

Organizing your Cookie Decorating Supplies

Cookie making and decorating time is upon us. If you love making cookies but hate digging out all the stuff, design team member Erin Reed shows how she organizes all her cookie-making supplies into a one-stop spot.

Erin likes to keep the supplies organized so they are easy to find! No more digging through the drawers to find the items she needs.

In each of the little cubbies of the Deflecto Interlocking Tilt Bins, she placed items needed to decorate the cookies such as food coloring to dye the icing, cookie cutters, sprinkles, and cupcake liners. Erin loves that the Deflecto Tilt Bins open and stay open until she closes them. You can also remove one bin at a time and take it to another spot on the counter. They make getting things in and out of the bins super easy.
