Easy Accessible Inks Using Deflecto Stackable Caddy

Hi, everyone! I am here today to share with you this awesome new Stackable Caddy from Deflecto. There are so many things I love about this caddy, where should I start.

Well, first of all, it is stackable. Like many of Deflecto's storage solutions, you can stack them. It is a great way to keep adding as more storage is needed. It is mobile. So you can organize your caddy's by product, theme, or whatever your heart desires and then transport as necessary.

The individual plastic containers are removable. So if you don't need the entire caddy, you can just remove what you need and then place back in the caddy for easy clean up after crafting.

Finally, it is compact. Two caddy's fit nicely on my shelf, which makes my storage that much more organized.

Believe me, this will be a purchase you will not regret!

Make Your Party Stand Out With This Pretty Pink Birthday Party Sign

This sign was made using the 8 1/2" x 11" Pink Border Frame and the new Flamingo ColorWay paper and stickers from Paper House Productions. The papers and embellishments in this collection matched perfectly with the pink border on the frame.
After the Party is over, add a couple cute photo’s of the birthday girl for a fun memory.

Living Inspiration Board

This post is more of an idea than a project, but it is a fun way to keep your creative juices flowing, which is exactly what this Pink 8 1/2"x11" Craft Frame did.
I like to think of this as a living inspiration board. As I design a project, I like to keep inspiration and available color swatches and textures on hand and in front of me as I choose my supplies.

A Stackable Caddy Organizer To Go

Hello, friends! Larissa here and over the last few weeks I gutted most of my craft studio and doing a major redo.
So today, since I am organizing things I would like to show you this AWESOME Stackable Caddy. I think everyone needs at least. one of these!

The caddy is designed to grab and go, which I think it perfect. The caddies have a lift and lock feature so you can connect them all together. Each Caddy comes with three containers, one small, one medium and one large. The containers have a hinged snap type lid that comes off for easy access.

I have two Stackable Caddy Organizers, and I am storing a few different crafty items in them. I used the two smaller containers to hold some embossing powders.

I used one of the large and one of the medium containers to store my twine in.

The second large container was the perfect size for my Distress inks.

One of the best things about these Stackable Caddy Organizers is how I will be able to empty them and then add exactly what I need to attend a crop or some crafty time with friends. The caddy is not heavy either. Very light weight. (empty)

As you can see, I was able to get a lot in each container. I did try my markers in the larger container, and they do fit without the lid so another perfect idea for taking my markers back and forth.

I hope you enjoyed my post today. I hope you purchase one or three of these caddies because you will love them.

Mini Heart Banner

I wanted to create a cute mini banner to hang up on my desk for the month of love (February). In my mind these cute little things do not have to come down right after Valentine's day, why not celebrate it a bit longer and enjoy the season!!

I cut out the rose leaves die on white cardstock, inked the edges and then drew in the lines with a black pen for the veins of the leaves. On the burlap banner, I stamped in black dye ink a swirl pattern stamp called to add a little something to each of the burlap pieces.

I cut out the heart die on white cardstock and then misted it with red mist. After it had dried, it traced out the heart shape and glued it to the back of the white cardstock to give it a backing. I used the same process on the Heart Clip Tree Video Tutorial. I traced the heart shape and Cupid with black ink, and then stamped and cut out the Love Arrow stamp and glued it onto the cupid as if he were shooting the love arrow.

On the back of each section of the banner, I placed the Deflecto Sign and Banner Hangars and ran the rope through the holes and then glued them in place. To hold up the banner, I just placed little tacks on the board and rested the banner into place. Making it easy to place wherever I want!!

Adore Baby Frame

Hi everyone! It's Anita Scroggins from The Flamingo Chronicles here to share a project with you today using the Pink Border Frame 8 1/2 x 11". Although Valentine's Day was just here, I wanted a project that I could display through the year rather than just for a few months.

I started by adding some fun polka dot washi tape around the edges of the frame, to highlight color. My background paper is from Authentique - I loved the vintage feel of the keys!

I added some fun felt embellishments to the front of the frame. I have been hoarding saving these forever, so I am glad to finally use them! My banner is made using a die cut sheet also from Authentique. I inked each piece, and after it had adhered, I outlined them with black ink to give it even more depth.

Another die cut accent from the same sheet at the top of my photo finishes the project off.

"Reasons I Love You" Heart Pocket Frame

Hello, Lorrie here and I have lots of reasons that I love my husband, but I don't always verbally tell him those reasons. So I came up with this pocket heart project to let him know just why I love and appreciate him!

My reasons look something like this:

See why he's a keeper?

And this doesn't just have to be for Valentine's Day -- you can always use it year-round to show your love for your spouse, kids, and friends!

Materials needed:

Instructions:
  • Place pink cardstock in the frame.
  • Use glue dots (or hot glue) to adhere plastic hearts to frame border.
  • Adhere doily to the center of the frame using glue dots (or hot glue). Only attach the bottom and sides of the doily, leaving the top open to make a pocket.
  • Cut strips of white cardstock (1"x4"). Write one "love reason" on each strip. Place strips in the pocket made by the doily.
This project is amazingly easy, but it would mean the world to the recipient. So share your love today!

A Fun & Easy Valentine Mailbox To Do With Kids

Hello, Nadine here today sharing an easy and fun way to make a Valentine mailbox. A few weeks my daughter came home from school and said that she needed to make a Valentine mailbox for their Valentine's party at school. We didn't have any shoeboxes or small boxes around the house to use, so I was trying to think of something we could alter to make into a mailbox.

Then I remembered this super cute frame that I had by Deflecto; their Pink 8 1/2" x 11" Craft Frame was perfect.

We made a pouch on the front of the frame using a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock for all of her school friends to put their Valentine card in for her.

I used an airbrush machine and a red Copic marker and stenciled some hearts onto the frame. Then I gave my daughter some Valentine stickers and let her have some fun decorating it.

Be My Valentine - a Sweetheart of a Frame!

February is the month of LOVE!
I was cleaning out my studio and found this picture of my daughter that I couldn't bring myself to shove in a file.  Since she is grown up and gone from home, I figured that this photo would be a way to keep her around me in the area I work in every day!

If you like this project, you will need a few supplies to get started.
You will need:

Photograph:  8-1/2" x 11"
Cardstock:  12 x 12" sheets; 3 (or other colors of your choosing); 1 Black; 1 Green
Embroidered Letters:  X O in pink
Faux Rhinestone Trim:  Black and Clear with self adhesive back
Adhesives
Scissors
Paper Trimmer

Instructions:

Flowers: (for one):  Cut one sheet of red cardstock into four equal squares. Cut off the four corners of the square making it round.  It doesn't have to be perfect.  Cut into a spiral shape, about 3/8" thick. Leave a little circle in the middle.  Roll the spiral into the form of a rose. Adhere the circle on the bottom to the rest of the flower to secure. A glue gun works best for this step. Especially if you have multiple flowers to secure.  I use my fingers and thumbnail to distress the edges of the rose.  Repeat for each flower.  Cut smaller squares of cardstock for smaller roses.

Leaves:  I cut the leaves with my Cricut machine.  You can opt for a die or cut them by hand.  If you cut out a heart and cut it in two; you can shape each half into a leaf.  Add the leaves after adhering the flowers to the frame.
Close-up View of the paper roses
Adhere the photo to a slightly larger piece of black cardstock leaving about a 1/8" to 1/4" border.  I added a second border with red cardstock.

Insert the photo into the frame.  Everything else is adhered to the outside of the frame.

Embellish the frame with the self-adhesive trim.  Place and adhere the flowers than the leaves.

Adhere the letters to the bottom of the frame.
I love making paper roses. I will be making table decorations for my daughter's wedding this coming Summer and I will be using Deflecto surfaces with lots of paper roses. I will post my progress in another blog or two. I am excited about the wedding and look forward to getting to DIY much of the decor for the wedding. Stay tuned!

Hope you got some inspiration here today.  Take time to enjoy the small blessings along the way and,

Live Life with a Flourish!

Happy February!

Love is...Subway Art!

I love Subway Art! It is fun and makes great decor for any room.  Deflecto has a fun Craft frame that is very feminine and works great for February projects!

The frame measures 8 1/2 in. x 11 in. and has a fun pink border. I framed my Subway Art onto some fun pink designer paper and decorated the outside of my frame with washi tape, pearls and paper flowers.

Craft Frame 8 1/2"x11" - Pink Item Number: 69771CR
What is great about this frame is that my Art slips in and out very easily, enabling me to reuse this decorated frame for many other occasions.

The subway art, Love is Patient was found on Pinterest. I have included the link to the page for this fun freebie.

Adorable Heart Clip Tree With Process Video

I love February with the feeling of love in the air. Right now with my kids is a fun little month with cute cards and always lots of candy, but it does put a smile on my face. So here is a cute little tree to brighten up my house for the season.

I made the entire tree from scratch with wood, clips, paint, paper, and glue.  Here is a video tutorial on how I made this fun little tree.

This is actually round 2 of the same tree I made for Christmas/Winter.

http://scraps-of-reflections.blogspot.com/2015/12/clip-tree-deflecto-ccb.html

I made this tree with the wonderful VersaGrip Double Clip Sign holders from Deflecto; they are the entire inspiration behind all this cuteness.

Here are some up close pictures of this cute little tree.

Send some love to someone in your family, either with a hug, card, or just saying something nice.  It is truly what Valentine's Day is all about.  My hope is seeing this cute little tree in my front hall will remind the rest of my family and me to be a little kinder to each other!

Supplies Used
Wood - Dowel Rod and 2x4
Ink - Clearsnap
Pen - Sakura
Pearls - Kaisercraft
Adhesive - Xyron & Plaid
