Rustic Christmas Ornaments

Howdy y'all! Who needs a quick and easy craft for Christmas. This is the one for you right here!

I used Mini Slanted Sign Holders and Flexible Sign Danglers, both from Deflecto for this project. (note: I used the smaller 1.5 X 2 frame, not the 2x3 frame in the photo below)

To decorate the frames, I grabbed some Christmas themed paper and embellishments from Authentique. I also added bits of ribbon and twine to finish them off.

I used double sided tape to adhere the frames to the wood pieces - which came from Hobby Lobby pre-painted. I covered the Flexible Sign Danglers with washi tape, bent them into shape and adhered them to the back of the frames for hangers.

Here are some close up pictures of my ornaments. Hope I inspired you to give them a try and make some of your own.

Please check out Deflecto Craft for other fabulous ideas.

Thanksgiving Table Display

Thanksgiving is coming around again and with that it means time to set the table and decorate the house for all the guests coming over.

I am going to place this display by the front entry to the house. It helps decorate the house, and also serves as a place to hold my name signs for the guest to pick and place at the seat of their choice. I made two different name signs, one for kids and one for adults.

Mini Sign Holder Tutorial

1) Placed a 3"x 4" sheet of cardstock (in red, yellow or Kraft inked with brown) inside the Deflecto 3" x 4" Mini Slanted Sign Holder.

2) Cut a second sheet measuring at 2.5" x 3.5" from the same colors mixing them around so the two sheets of paper are not the same and also inked them with brown ink.

3) Cut out three swirl shapes and ink in brown.

4) Wrap the in twine (brown/white, lime green, orange, and yellow).

5) Cut a 0.75" x 1.5" section of the paper for the name and write with a brown calligraphy pen, ink the edges of the paper, and glue down.

6) Add in some Thanksgiving stickers and some gems or sequins of choice as seen.

7) Place a mini sign at the place setting at the table for your guest to know where they sit, or let the guest place their own name sign in a seat of their choice when they arrive.

I also created some simpler same signs using the Deflecto 1.5" x 2" Mini Slanted Sign Holder. I am using these for the kids table.

I used the same method as the above signs, cut a sheet of orange stripe paper cardstock, but I did not ink it. I then wrapped each in brown and white bakers twine, added a Kraft name to the bottom (off center to the right) and added the pumpkin stickers.

For the display, which I will place by the front door with the names signs for the guest to place at the seat of their choice. Well to a point, the adults are at the adult table, and kids are at the kids table.

I then took a burlap sack and stuffed it with crumpled paper to help it fill out, and place it in the back of the arrangement. I then had these cute stuffed pumpkins and a stuffed turkey I placed around the sac. I did not want the pumpkins to hide, or the display to look flat. In comes the Deflecto Sign Risers, they measure 3", 4", and 5" high.

I placed a couple of pumpkin on the risers and then put the 3rd pumpkin in front of the legs of the risers to help "hide" it.

They are a clear acrylic, so they are not super visible, but I did want to cover it up a bit.

There are many ways to decorate Thanksgiving, at the table, on a mantle, in a front hall. Layering lots of textures and colors (all in the theme of autumn colors) always works well!! Gobble Gobble!!

Set The Table with Deflecto Craft

Hi, everyone!  Alicia here today sharing my Thanksgiving project with you. Once Halloween is over the holidays are officially here for me.  All the decorating, the parties and the gatherings with friends and family have begun.

I love the idea of using the Deflecto Sign Holders as a way to decorate my table as menus or place cards. For my table decoration this year, I used the Mini sign holder (3 x 4) and the Sign holder/double clip that can be used for reservation cards or menus as well as for gift cards.

I used a die cutting machine to added the circles and the flowers in the corner of the card. Although, you can use any embellishments you like.  You can be as simple or elaborate as you like, just be creative!

Using burlap to cover the sign holders is also a fun way to decorate your Thanksgiving table. Don't be afraid to use your own handwriting to give your projects a personal touch.

Until next time,
ALICIA

A Thanksgiving Feast with Deflecto Crafts

Hello, Nadine here today sharing my latest Deflect Crafts project with you all!

Whether you do your Thanksgiving feast as a buffet style or a formal style, Deflecto Crafts has items to help you decorate your table. All you have to do is add some themed papers and stickers to them. Then as soon as Thanksgiving is over all you have to do is remove the paper and stickers and redecorate them with Christmas themed papers and you are now ready for the next holiday.

For the silverware holder, I used the Deflecto Stackable Cube Organizer "X" Divider and attached a VersaGrip Sign Holder to hold a fun little sign I made.

For the napkin holder, I used one of the Acrylic Display Risers and used a 3" x 4" Mini Slanted Sign Holder to create my Happy Thanksgiving sign and the 1.5" x 2" Mini Slanted Sign Holders for my seating tags.

Products used can be purchased at Amazon.com, or you can click HERE and enter your zip code to see where you can purchase Deflecto Craft products near you.

Thank you for visiting and happy crafting! :)
