Marker Storage Solution

Hello everyone!!! I'm here today to show you a new marker storage solution that is coming your way soon!

I was first introduced to Deflecto's New Interlocking Marker Organizer at Creativation.  I was in awe when I saw this new organizer.

Lets take a look:

Yayyy!! Look at that site!  That's my new caddy with the interchangeable storage bins.

Here's a closer look:

1. Each bin features a soft gray compartment that holds each marker neatly.

2. They fit into the Stackable Caddy Organizer.

3. 6 to one caddy!

4. Each bin can stand upright or horizontal.

4. The interlocking dovetail allow you to create your ideal storage by connecting other bins.

5. The are easy to store and move around.

6. You can create with one bin or all of them.

So what do you think? Will you store your markers in this manner?  I would love to hear from you.

Please let me know what you think below. If you have any questions, please leave them below as well.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you were inspired here today.

Monogrammed Pencil Cup & Calendar

\
Personalize a Pencil Cup w/photo frames to pretty up your workspace! I layered some pretty papers with a paper doily and added some embroidered initials. Close to your heart pictures will make it even more special. Check out the built-in photo frames on the inside!

I cut pieces from the memory papers to carry the Spring theme. Cut paper to fit the outside of the pencil caddy. Adhere. Trim a paper doily and an image from the memory paper. Chalk the edges using an ink pad and sponge. The embroidered letters were white, and I sponged them with permanent ink to add the color I wanted.

I put some of my pretty business cards in the frames so that I would have some close at hand.

This is a quick and easy project and brings a pop of Spring into your space. Kids love the possibilities for decorating their personal pencil caddy too! I will be posting a separate blog with instructions for the calendar!

Take time to enjoy the small blessings along the way and,
Live Life with a Flourish!

My Craft Tools are in Carousels!

Hello, crafty friends! Martha Lucia here to share with you how I am organizing my craft room, especially the paint area and the different bottles that I use for my crafts. Deflecto Craft has two different designs of rotating carousels. Basically, they have the same structure - the only difference is that one comes with tall compartments or bins and the other is a combination of sizes, small and tall compartments or bins. Both have the same design, so it is really easy to interchange or pile.

This is my first Deflecto Carousel Rotating 9 Bin. I use it for keep all my paints and pigments. It comes with 9 compartments or bins that you can use easily. All have the white lid and the box is totally clear. For me the transparency is the best, because since I have memory problems, I can see easily what I have in each container and I don't have to worry about remembering where I put something special. The size of the bins is another plus, because if you put small things inside of the big bins, just like the paints that I use, you can put your hand inside of the bin and move easily.

The second Deflecto Carousel Rotating  6 Bin has all the compartments tall. I use this one to store all the bottles I use in my crafts. I separate the bins by categories - I have stamp cleaners, mediums, shimmers and textures, snails and adhesives and as you can see from the photo below it can storage bottles or things with different sizes, because the size of each box is 6" by 4-1/2" with a triangle design. Normally I stack them vertically in my desk but these carousels are created to use individually.

I hope this organization tip inspires you to also use the Deflecto Carousels Rotating in your craft room or in any activity that you do. They are very useful, and you can store unlimited things. Just use your imagination.

Enjoy and  See you soon!

The Most Amazing Marker Storage Ever

Y'all,, it's Anita from The Flamingo Chronicals, and I am so excited about the new Interlocking Marker Organizer. It is the most amazing marker storage ever - really. You are going to love it. These will hold every single brand of marker I own. Every-Single-One! The big bonus is they fit right into the Stackable Caddy. Yes, they sure do! They can be used on your desk top in any number of configurations thanks to the dovetail design that allows you to connect them, or pop them into your Stackable Caddy Organizer and hit the road.

You know I love the Stackable Caddy, right? Now I love them even more. The Interlocking Marker Organizer units replace the storage containers that come with the Stackable Caddy. You can trade out one or all of the containers and replace them with markers. You love it, don't you! It is so easy to grab my caddies and head out to crop.

So, I've got some big, fat, markers. The Faber-Castell® PITT artist pens are pretty much the big boys of the art marker world. They are chunky little fellows! They fit right into the slots in the marker organizer. The secret is the flexible material that forms the grid inside the unit. It allows greater flexibility for storing more than one size of marker.

I searched for years for something to store my Tombow® markers in, but they just did not fit into any of the storage options that were on the market. They fit beautifully into the Interlocking Marker Organizer! I ended up putting two markers per slot because they stayed more upright (and looked less messy) this way. Double storage!!

Remember, your options are flexible to meet your needs. Here I used 3 Interlocking Marker Organizer units and the small and medium Organizer Container that came with my Stackable Caddy.

Pink Pencil Cup for brushes!

Hello, crafty friends! Martha Lucia here to share with you a Deflecto Pink Pencil Cup that I decorated using black vinyl and a butterflies thin lits or die cut.

I am not a pencil person because I forgot my pencils every where, so I preferred to use my cup to keep and store the brushes that I use on my paper creations. I have two different types of brushes and the cup comes with two different sides so it is perfect for my purpose.

The first thing that I made was cut several butterflies using Black Vinyl. I prefer to cut this with my big shot and not use punches because sometimes is hard to cut the vinyl with these and you lose a lot of time. The butterflies that I cut are great because they had designs inside and with the big shot these are enhanced. After I cut the butterflies, I started to paste one by one over the cup, creating a special side pattern. I wanted all the butterflies concentrated over the center of the cup to have a great design when I open it.

When you turn the cup around, you can see that the inside comes with two spaces or frames that you can use for photos or messages. Of course, I used it for this purpose and decorated the borders with vinyl butterflies too.

The process was very simple and quick. And the best part is that I can change my design whenever I want. The material of the Deflecto Pink Pencil Cup is easy to clean and durable. And I can also open and close my cup whenever I want!

I hope my project inspired you to personalize your Pink Pencil Cup too and be happy every single day!

 See you soon!

Decorate For Spring With A Storage Carousel Organizer!

Do you like the decorative knobs that are in all the stores these days? They come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. I found some ceramic knobs that I really liked and attached them to the top lids of my Deflecto storage bins. The bins on the carousel can be used for many different things. Easter is this month, so I used this carousel for Easter candies and eggs.

If you decide to add some knobs to your storage you will need a few things to start:

1. Drill with a drill bit to match the size of the screw on your acrylic knob
2. Nut and washers to tighten the knob to the bin
3. Screwdriver to tighten the screw
4. A thick book or magazine (I used an old phone book) to drill on
5. 6 decorative knobs with screws (I chose ceramic knobs)

Directions:

1. Mark the spot on one lid for knob placement. Place the lid on top of the thick book. It might help to have someone help to hold the lid steady for drilling. Choose the drill bit that matches the size of the screw on the knob. Drill the hole. Repeat for each of the lids that you will be attaching the knobs to.

2. Attach a knob to one lid. Tighten the fit using nut and washers. Check the size of the screw to make sure it is the right size. Repeat for each lid.

3. Fill the bins; replace the lids and enjoy!

Easter Carousel Basket

Hi, crafters! Monica here and did you know you can turn your Carousel Organizer Carousel 6 Bin into a convenient Easter Bunny Basket?

 1. To make your bunny ears simply take some pipe cleaners in pink and white and fold them over like bunny ears. (I would have used loopy chenille, but Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays)

2. Take a wooden dowel or skewer and poke it through the center styrofoam piece that comes with your brand new organizer. This will be used to hold those bunny ears in place. Cover the stick with the pipe cleaners.

Tada instant bunny ears!

For the remainder, I added some grass and Easter gift items to each container and you can either add a bow or not as seen below.

Spring Blooms Pencil Cup

Hi, everybody! Lorrie here with a new spring project for Deflecto Crafts. Is it a nice spring day outside, but you are stuck inside at a desk? Just bring the spring to your office cubicle with this Spring Blooms Pencil Cup!

I started with the Deflecto Pencil Cup with Photo Frames. This little cup not only organizes your pens and pencils, but serves as a way to display your favorite photos.

I gave it some spring flair with patterned washi tape along the top and bottom edges all the way around the cup. How adorable are those little chicks?

I then added some acetate flowers and accented them with buttons from Buttons Galore, using glue dots.

Finally, using a quote card and patterned paper from Fancy Pants Designs along with more flowers and buttons, I decorated the frames on the inside of the cup -- a great place for to show off those pictures of the kids in their new Easter clothes!

This project comes together very quickly and is even easy enough to be a good boredom buster craft project for the kids. So grab a pencil cup and get crafting!
